Brent & Val Leegwater Family:  Please be in prayer for the Leegwater family as Brent’s father had a fall on Tuesday and was unresponsive for a time due to low oxygen levels.  Additionally, his pulmonary fibrosis has progressed and the family is now considering if Hospice at home is the next step in his care.  Please be in prayer for wisdom, discernment, and peace in this time.

Del & Winnie Machiela:  We join with Del & Winnie in giving thanks to the Lord that recent scans have provided Del with encouraging results in his bone cancer diagnosis.  Winnie has recently received cortisone shots to address pain in her hip and knees.  We pray these would provide her with relief.

Marie Sall:  We give thanks to the Lord that Marie was able to have a successful hiatal hernia surgery this past Monday.  She was discharged on Tuesday and continues in her recovery at home.  We pray for the Lord’s continued hand of healing to be upon her.

Helen VanZanten:  Please remember Helen in your prayers as she was moved to Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Zeeland in the hopes that she will be able to gain strength to combat her debilitating and chronic backpain.  We pray this time will prove to be helpful and allow Helen to return home soon.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Living Hope Singers:  In lieu of blessing us with their actual presence in our Worship Service this Sunday Evening (because of COVID-19 restrictions), the Living Hope Singers from Holland Christian High School will be presenting 2 ministries of music via video.  They will be singing ‘Gracefully Broken’ and ‘The Lord Bless You And Keep You’.  We give thanks that Miles Hilbelink and Calvin Hilbelink have been members of the Living Hope Singers this year.  We thank the Living Hope Singers, along with their Director, Erika Blom, for blessing our congregation with their gifts.

A Parent Meeting will be held after the Morning Worship Service TODAY for Summer Softball for boys and girls ages 8-13.

Usher Schedule:  A New Usher Schedule is being developed.  If you would like your name added to, or removed from, the usher list, please contact Todd VandenHeuvel by Monday, May 17.

North Street Seniors will have their first breakfast of this season at ‘The Trestle Stop’ in Hamilton on Thursday, June 10, at 8:30 AM.  Please put your name down on the sign-up sheet that is in the Narthex.  We need to know the number of Seniors who plan on coming for breakfast that morning.  Thanks!  A special Welcome is given to those who have not attended before!  Come and join us for breakfast and a time of fellowship!

LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

‘The Dangers Of Marijuana Use’ will be the topic of Rev. Paul Murphy, (pastor of Messiah’s Reformed Fellowship in New York City) in his presentation on Tuesday, May 25, at 7:00 PM at Cornerstone United Reformed Church (6442 – 36ths Avenue, Hudsonville).  Even as our society rushes to legalize marijuana, the evidence of its harm increases.  Pastor Murphy will explore the multiple dangers (historic, pharmacological, medical, legal, and social) inherent in marijuana use.  Also addressed will be ways to protect ourselves from this drug.  All are welcome to attend.
