The Mission India ‘Rice Bag Project’ wraps up today!  The Sunday School/Catechism kids were given a Rice Bag and challenged to fill the bags with money and return the bags to church.  Today is the last day to collect the Rice Bags.

NO GROW Groups today.  Next week Sunday, March 8 and March 15 Dan Landstra, Director of Spiritual Life & Leadership at Unity Christian, will join us with the topic of ‘Teens and Screens:  How Much Is Too Much? – The social, emotional, and educational impact of digital technology in 2020.’  Students today are digital natives.  The daily use of technology, especially phones, continues to increase.  Current research shows teens spend, on average, more than seven hours each day looking at screens (not including time spent on homework).  The average age at which a student receives their first smartphone is ten.  Additionally, parents face increasing challenges keeping pace with the rapidly evolving world of social media to which students are exposed.  What are a school, parents, and a community to do?  Using reliable, recent, and relevant research, we will explore the impact technology – especially cell phones – has on young minds and lives.  Emphasis will be given to the developmental impact social media has on students.  These sessions are a must!

N.S. Seniors will be having our first breakfast of 2020 on Thursday, March 12, at 8:30 AM at Vee’s Grill.  So ‘march’ on over for a time of food and fellowship!
