Bonnie Bergman:  We give thanks to the Lord that Bonnie is continuing to make strides in her healing as she is at Freedom Inn after having foot surgery.  We pray that she might gain strength and be able to come home soon.


Terry Boerman:  Please remember Terry in your prayers as he will begin a new chemotherapy regimen for three weeks that will begin this week Wednesday, February 19.  We pray that this may be effective against the cancer and that his side effects are minimal again.


Ovi & Jessica Dumea:  We rejoice with our missionaries, Ovi & Jessica Dumea, who are stateside from Romania and welcomed their first child, a little girl names Estera (Romanian for Esther) into the world this past Monday.  We are thankful that Mom and daughter are doing well.


Almira Huizenga:  We give thanks to the Lord, that after being hospitalized with Influenza B, Almira has now returned home and is doing better.


Henry Meppelink:  We are thankful that Henry was able to return home after a serious surgery and a stay at Heritage for rehabilitation.  We are thankful for the progress he has made and continue to pray for strength and mobility.


Cheryl Kroll:  We give thanks that Cheryl is recovering well after having a double mastectomy surgery this past week in an effort to relieve her of her breast cancer diagnosis.  We are thankful that she has already been discharged and pray that she would have a good prognosis as a result of this surgery.

Church Greeting Times:  In an effort to prevent the spread of colds and flu, Church Leaders have decided to suspend all formal handshake greetings before, during, and after our Worship Services, until the end of March.  You are encouraged to show your hospitality by use of verbal greetings along with a warm smile to all our guests & church family during this time.


The Council asks the Congregation for nominations as our Church elects new office bearers.  The nomination process begins February 16.  All professing members are asked to nominate 3 names for Elder and 3 names for Deacon.  A list of men eligible for nomination and a ballot should be found in your church mailbox.  The completed ballot, with your signature, can be dropped in the ballot receptacles located in the ‘Sign-up Station’.  Your signature on the ballot is required.  The last day to submit a ballot is March 1, 2020.  For any questions or needs you may have, contact Terry Boerman or Stephan Hilbelink.




Borculo Christian School Fundraiser:  On Tuesday, February 25, Rainbow Grill in Hudsonville, will donate 20% of all sales for the day to Borculo Christian School.  Come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!  And spread the word to family & friends!  No flyer is needed and there is no need to mention BCS.  Hope to see you there!


“Teens And Screens:  How Much Is Too Much?”  Unity Christian High School invites our community to join us on Wednesday, February 26, at 7:00 PM for a presentation and conversation about digital technology.  Using reliable, recent, and relevant research, we will explore the impact technology – especially cell phones – has on young minds and lives.  Emphasis will be given to the developmental impact social media has on students.

Parkview AFC Home is looking for some volunteers who would be willing to share their talents on a project in the home.  We are planning to renovate the 3rd floor attic space into an apartment for our House parents.  We could really use the skills and help from a general contractor, licensed plumber, and licensed electrician.  We would greatly appreciate any help offered.  If you are interested in being a volunteer on this project, please contact Terry Boerman (616.886.8299).  Thank you so much!

Song Packets are available at the entrances of the Sanctuary.  Please feel free to pick up a copy if you have difficulty seeing the projection screen.

Children’s Worship meets during the Evening Worship Service, for children ages 3 through Kindergarten.  Children’s Worship Dismissal takes place following the Offering/Offertory, exiting the Sanctuary through the front door.  Parents, please come to the Children’s Worship Room (Room #1) after the Service to pick up your children.

Briana Leegwater (daughter of Brent & Val) is completing her Junior year at Calvin University.  Her major is Physical Education with minors in Health Education and Special Education.  Briana is taking classes in Sport & Exercise Physiology, Health Administrations and Methods, PE for persons with disabilities, Frisbee, Muscular Fitness Assessment, Education Reading & Literacy, and Individual Competencies.  During the school year Briana is a nanny part-time and also teaches pitching lessons.  During the spring, Softball takes up a lot of her time (feel free to ask her about it!).  In the summer, she works full-time for Ridgeview Landscaping.  Briana’s email address is  Briana will celebrate her 21st Birthday on Monday, February 17!  Happy Birthday Briana!  We pray God will continue to bless you as you work towards your college degree!





North Street CAP (Covenant Assistance Program):  We give thanks to God for the generosity of our Church Family in their support of the CAP Program through offerings and projects.  $1,297.00 per student was sent to the various K-12 Christian Schools that our North Street families are enrolled in!


NO GROW Groups today.  Next week Sunday, February 23, join us to hear of Nakisha DeJong’s experiences on her recent Mission Trip to Guatemala.


The Mission India ‘Rice Bag Project’ is under way!  The Sunday School/Catechism kids were given a Rice Bag and challenged to fill the bags with money and return the bags to church.  Each Sunday during the Offering time, the kids are welcomed to bring up their filled Rice Bags and place them in a basket at the front of the Sanctuary.  The kids may also bring the filled bags to their Sunday School classroom.  March 1 will be the last day to collect the Rice Bags.  The Congregation is invited to join with the Sunday School kids in filling a Rice Bag for Mission India!  Extra bags and information are located at ‘The Welcome Center’ in the Narthex.  Contact a Deacon if you have any questions.


The North Street 3rd Annual Rabbit Hunt will take place on Saturday, February 29.  Meet at the shop on Perry at 7:30 AM for coffee and donuts.  We’ll break into groups and hunt until 11 AM and then return to the shop for lunch.  Hunters need to have their base license to participate.  Any questions, talk to Brent Leegwater, Mark DuBois, or Terry Boerman.


GROW Groups will meet in March as Dan Landstra, Director for Spiritual Leadership at Unity Christian, will be here sharing information on social media ALL families need to know.  If you have any questions, please contact Brian Mast.
