Thelma Johnson lives at Royal Park Place in Zeeland.

Hermina Fransens:  Please keep Hermina in your prayers as she was admitted to Zeeland Spectrum with an irregular heartbeat and fluid buildup around the heart.  We are thankful her pneumonia is clearing, but pray that she may recover well and be able to return home to SKLD very soon.

Helaine Miedema:  Please be in prayer for Helaine as a mass was found on her chest wall and is awaiting the biopsy results from the Mayo Clinic.  We pray the mass is not cancerous and can be remedied.  We pray for Helaine also as she was hospitalized this past week because of calcium buildup.  We pray for the biopsy results to come in and that she may be able to return home soon.

Council Member of Focus:

Deacon Mike VanDussen

Howard Stephenson:  Our Church Family grieves the death of Howard Stephenson, who went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 12.  A private graveside service will be held for close family and friends on Monday, August 16, with a Celebration of Life Service to be held on September 24.  We pray for the Lord’s comfort to surround the family in this time.

Rick & Linda VanderPloeg:  We give thanks to the Lord with Rick & Linda (and uncles Matt and Josh) at the birth of their first grandchild, Noah Paul, born to David & Rachel VanderPloeg.  Noah was born on August 10, weighing 6 lbs., 11oz.  We are thankful that mom and son are doing well.

Refugee Family Update:  This morning, The Outreach Committee invites the congregation to join in welcoming the Refugee Family:  Umugwaneza, Lionel, and Micheline.  Deb Hoekwater, from Bethany, will  be here to help introduce the family and answer any questions.  We will have a time of cake and fellowship following the Morning Service.  Please introduce yourselves and show them the warmth and love of the North Street family.

Women’s Bible Study: On September 19, we will be starting our fall study, “Elijah” by Priscilla Shirer.  “Every fervent believer longs to summon up the kind of boldness and faith that can stand firm.  Join Priscilla through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine.  And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now.”  If you would like to join, please sign up at the information center, or let Nakisha or Kristin know.  We will be meeting from 11:00-11:45 each Sunday, alternating video and study weeks, ending tentatively on December 19.  Cost of the study book is $10.00.  Please sign up by Sunday, August 29.
