Carolyn (Carrie) Redder lives at Resthaven Care Center (740 College Avenue Rm.#17) in Holland.  Carrie will celebrate her 84th Birthday on Thursday, August 5!

Sharon DuBois:  Please keep Sharon in your prayers as she had a port placed this past Thursday and will begin chemotherapy treatments on Tuesday.  We pray that her treatments will prove to be effective.


Pastor Shaun:  We give thanks to the Lord that Pastor Shaun had a successful repair of his bicep tendon.  We pray that the pain will subside and that he’ll return to regular activities soon.


Kristin Sterk:  We are thankful that the results of recent tests have shown that Kristin is not yet a candidate for a heart transplant.  We pray for the further tests she will soon have and pray they will provide encouraging results.


Bryce Lucas (10 year old son of Mark & Vicki Lucas/former members of North Street):  After experiencing a serious leg injury in an ATV accident, Bryce has had a number of surgeries and remains hospitalized.  We pray for continued healing for him.

Winnie Machiela is looking for someone to help with her personal care for about an hour each morning (8:00-9:00 AM).  You would be compensated for your time.  If you are able to help, please give Winnie a call (772.4120).





Mission India is an agency that trains and equips local Indian Christians in the country of India to teach The Bible and form clusters of new disciples.  They do this through organizing Children’s Bible clubs, adult literacy classes, and church planter training.  For more information check the website





Security Rovers:  A new schedule for Security Rovers will be put together in the coming weeks.  We are in need of 5-10 new rovers.  If you would like to be added as a rover, or would like your name removed, please contact Todd VandenHeuvel, before August 9.


North Street Seniors will have their monthly breakfast at Russ’ Eastown in Holland on Thursday, August 12, at 8:30 AM.  Please put your name down on the sign-up sheet in the Narthex.  We need to know the number of Seniors who plan on coming for breakfast that morning.  Thanks!  Come and join us for breakfast and a time of fellowship!

Parkview Adult Foster Care Home is hiring:

       Housekeeper:  Part-time position with great flexibility.  Approximately 3-4 hours a day/Monday-Friday.  Cleaning the home (resident bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living space) and doing the residents’ laundry.

       Evening Relief:  Part-time position and would be great for someone who enjoys spending time with people with developmental disabilities.  Monday/Tuesday/Thursday evenings from 5:00-9:00 PM.  No weekends.

Upward Bound Ministries is having a pig roast fundraiser on Wednesday, August 11, at Lawrence Street Park from 5:00-7:00 PM.  Please join them in celebrating another blessed and fruitful year of ministry.  They will be serving pulled pork, hotdogs, baked beans, corn, potato salad, chips, ice cream and water.


The Calvinist Cadet Corps is hosting the 7th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot to benefit the Cadet ministry.  The event will be held on Saturday, August 21, at the Blendon Pines Gun Club in Zeeland.  For more information, call the Corps office (616.241.5616 ext.4) or check out the Cadet website ( under the ‘events’ tab.  Everyone is welcome!  Registration forms are available from your Cadet Club Head Counselor, or you can register at the website.  Lunch will be served at 11:30 AM.  Join us for a fun-filled day!
