Alma DeKock: We extend our sympathies to Alma after the recent death of her brother, Harvard Brouwer, who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29. We pray for the Lord’s peace and presence to bring comfort to the family.
Al & Arlene Blauwkamp would like to say “Thank You to the congregation for all the many Christmas cards we received.”
Hermina Fransens would like to “Thank my North Street Church Family for the Poinsettia plant and the many Christmas cards.”
John & Gret Heuvelman would like to say “Thank You for all the kindness and thoughtfulness we received over this past year. The flowers, the candy, and the Poinsettia plant. We are thankful for a caring Church Family.”
Bill & Judy Huizenga would like to “Thank the Congregation for the many get-well cards, phone calls, and notes of encouragement we received since our car accident in June. Thank you for all the prayers offered on our behalf. Many of our prayers have been answered. Bill’s back injury has finally healed as much as it ever will. We are so thankful for all the ways God has blessed us. Thanks also for the beautiful poinsettia plant and the many Christmas cards that we enjoyed reading.”
John VanderWoude would like to say “Thank You for all the prayers, cards, and other wishes I received on my recent 95ths Birthday! Thanks also for all the Christmas cards and Poinsettia plant I received. I miss seeing my church family.”
Gertrude VanSomeren would like to say “Thank You so much for the outpouring of kindness and prayers on my behalf over the last couple of months. The plant is cheerful life and color in my apartment, the bag of goodies is delicious, and all the cards so encouraging. We just celebrated promises fulfilled in the Christmas story. May all of you continue to trust, standing on the promises of a faithful God in 2021!”

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Women’s Bible Study will be starting a study by Priscilla Shirer called ‘The Armor of God’. This is a 7-week video series that coincides with a 6-week study book. We are offering both an in-person and virtual option! Nakisha will be leading a Zoom meeting every other Sunday night for 90 minutes, where you will watch the videos and discuss the lesson. Kristin will be leading a group during the Sunday school hour. This group will watch the video one week and discuss the lesson the next week. Our first meetings will be Sunday, January 17, to watch the first video, with the lesson done beforehand. Additionally, we will use our North Street Bible Study Facebook group as well as a group e-mail to stay connected between our meeting times. Please sign-up at the information kiosk indicating which option you prefer and if you need a study book. The books will be around $16.00. If you need help covering the cost of the book, please let Kristin or Nakisha know.
