From The Executive Committee: We have seen a rise in COVID-19 Virus activity in our Community lately. This has had a direct impact on some of our members. We are happy to report that no known exposures have happened in our church building. The Executive committee has decided to adjust our church activities to minimize potential exposures:
1. All church educational activities will be suspended until January 2021. This includes Men’s Bible Study, Dorcas, Sunday School, Cadets, GEMS, and Youth Group.
The congregation is asked to remember the Executive Committee and the Council in prayer as they seek to guide the congregation through this season.
A Congregational Meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 14, at 7:00 PM. The meeting is for approval of the proposed budget for 2021. A copy of the Proposed Budget was placed in your mailbox in the Narthex. Absentee ballots will be available from Allyn Arendsen, Council Clerk, or the Church Office.
Thanksgiving Day Collection: The total amount received from the Thanksgiving Day Collection was $20,277.00. A breakdown of the amount received for each cause/agency will be listed in the next issue of ‘The Reflections’.
Please Note: All receipts for reimbursements or invoices to be paid for 2020 must be turned in by Thursday, December 17. Please place these items in the Treasurer’s mailbox.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Women’s Bible Study in December: Ladies: you are invited to tackle the book of Luke during the month of December with others from North Street. We will read one chapter from Luke each day, starting December 1, bringing us through the entire story of Jesus’ life before Christmas. If you would like to be connected to other participants via email, please contact Nakisha (nakishadejong@gmailc.om) to be added to the list. We look forward to Diving Deep into God’s Word together while we are apart!
From The Deacons: North Street has again been given a generous donation of over-the-counter medicine – including children’s items, dental items, pain relievers, and more. Items will be available at the kitchen serving window following the worship services. Adults may come and help yourself to a few items. If you have any questions, please contact a Deacon.
