FOCUS ON MISSIONS

Mission India is an agency that trains and equips local Indian Christians in the country of India to teach The Bible and form clusters of new disciples.  They do this through organizing Children’s Bible clubs, adult literacy classes, and church planter training.  For more information check the website www.missionindia.org.

Bonnie Bergman:  We give thanks to the Lord that Bonnie was able to come home after a time at SKLD for rehabilitation.  We pray for her continued recovery at home.

Howard Johnson:  Please remember Howard in your prayers as he suffered a heart attack on Friday, August 21, that required the placement of 2 heart stents.  We are thankful that he is stable and doing well and was able to come home this past week.  We pray for his continued recovery.

Betty Kroll:  We join with Al & Betty in giving thanks that Betty’s chemotherapy and radiation treatments are now complete.  We pray that the treatments prove to be effective in allowing her cancer to be removed completely.

Josh & Chelsea VandenBosch:  Please be in prayer for Chelsea’s father, Doug, who underwent a bone marrow biopsy this past Wednesday, August 26, to determine his eligibility for a bone marrow transplant.  As they await the results, we pray that he would be eligible and be able to receive this treatment.

Todd VandenHeuvel:  We give thanks to the Lord that Todd’s foot surgery went well.  We pray that he will continue in his recovery and gain back pain-free mobility.

Elaine Venema:  We are thankful that Elaine was able to have her exploratory surgery this past Friday, August 28.  We pray that as a result, answers will be provided and that she would be relieved of the symptoms she has been experiencing.

Council Member of Focus:
