Morning Worship Service

Sunday Morning Worship Service and Bulletin will be found on our Church’s website ( on Sunday mornings.  Printed Bulletins and DVDs/CDs of this Service will be available at the ‘Welcome Center’ in the Narthex on Monday.

Church worship services and activities are suspended until further notice,

due to COVID-19.

Gerry DeZwaan:  We give thanks to the Lord that after experiencing chest pain and being hospitalized, Gerry has been discharged and is recovering at home.  The doctors believe that the pain was a side effect to a medication.  We are thankful that he is doing well.

Betty Kroll:  Please be in prayer for Betty as she is experiencing pain related to her recent cancer diagnosis.  We pray that the pain may be relieved and that her appointment this week Tuesday with her oncologist will provide direction and peace of mind regarding moving forward with treatment.

Tim & Ruth Meekhof:  We give thanks to the Lord that Ruth’s father, Harley Rillema, was discharged and was allowed to come home.  However, we remember him in our prayers as he continues to have some health struggles.  We pray for him to gain strength and health.

Earl Mokma:  Please be in prayer for Earl as he fell this past week resulting in a broken bone in his leg.  The reason for the fall is presumed to be related to a drop in pulse and/or blood pressure.  Earl had a loop recorder surgically placed this past Friday to monitor his heart and will be going in this week Thursday for further tests.  We pray that Earl’s broken leg will heal quickly and that the symptoms related to his heart can be relieved soon.

Those unable to visit loved ones: Please remember those who have loved ones in care facilities and are unable to visit them, and haven’t been able to see them for five weeks.  This can be lonely and difficult for those in the care facilities and for those unable to visit.  We pray that the quarantine restrictions will be lifted soon so that loved ones can see each other once more.

Unemployed/Under Employed/Business Owners:  Please be in prayer for those who have recently been made unemployed, had hours cut, or are business owners and are unable to employ their staff.  We pray for families that are experiencing financial strain and anxieties about the future.  We pray that we, as a church, may come around them in such times, and that our situation may improve where many would be able to return to work soon.

Council Member of Focus:

Deacon Scott Visser

Thank You:  Despite not being able to meet together for regular worship, you have been constant in your financial support of our church.  On behalf of a very thankful Council, staff, and church family, Thank You for your generosity.  It is a blessing to be a part of this church family who shows the love of Christ in so many ways!

The Congregation is encouraged to continue with financial support of North Street and the various ministries that we support.  Weekly budget envelopes can be mailed to the church at 20 E. Main Avenue, ZeelandThe Deacons would like to encourage the congregation to continue supporting the causes/ministries that would have been receiving our offerings collected during our Worship Services.  We will provide a link where you can go and enter a donation for them online.  Some causes do not have a webpage.  Please contact your District Deacon with any questions.

Elders & Deacons Contacts:  The Elders and Deacons will be checking in on every family in our church each week not only to see how they are doing health wise, but also want to see if they need any assistance with picking up groceries or prescriptions, especially for those who are considered high-risk and immune compromised.  But we also want to check on folks to see how they are doing when it comes to potential benevolent issues.  We understand that many in this time are experiencing difficulties because of lay-offs and cut hours.  We want to ensure that we are doing all that we can to care for the church family in this time.  We also want to pray with you and for you, and so if you have any prayer concerns, please let us know.  Worship material, including on-line sermon and bulletin, will be available on our website each week.  If you would like a DVD or CD and bulletin sent to you, please contact our church office (772.6971) and we will mail them to you every Monday.
