Hemmeke Family:  Please be in prayer for the Hemmeke family who have 3 children at Zeeland Christian (Will-7th grade; Lucas-5th grade; Cece-1st grade) who were involved in a car accident a week ago Saturday that resulted in the death of their 22 year old cousin, Marissa, who was driving them at the time.  We are thankful for the progress that Lucas and Cece have made, and continue to pray for Will who has pressure buildup on his brain.

Max & Kris Michmerhuizen family:  Please continue to pray for Max & Kris’ grandson Evan, whose trip to Spain to receive further treatments for his Lyme Disease was canceled because of numerous seizures he had on the day he was scheduled to depart.  We pray that these seizures would be able to be controlled and that Evan would soon be able to receive his necessary treatments.

Sal Family:  Please keep Joey, Meredith, and Jonah in your prayers as they had a house fire last weekend.  We give thanks that no one was harmed in the fire and that they are able to stay at Meredith’s house in the meantime.

Tim & Amy Schutt Family:  We rejoice with the Schutt family with the news that Brad Holwerda, (Tim’s brother-in-law), had a successful surgery to remove his brain tumor.  We now pray for good results from the biopsies, for Brad’s time of recovery, and any subsequent treatments that may be necessary.

COUNCIL NEWS

Offering Schedule:

Oct. 13:  AM   Holland Rescue Mission

              PM   North Street CAP

A Sincere ‘Thank You’ to those who contributed to the Special Offering for the Building Renovation Project.  A total of $17,833.25 was received!

The Elders are in the process of scheduling Family Visits.  Believing this is a priority, the Elders strive to meet with everyone about once every three years. The purpose of the visit is to become better acquainted with the membership, to have a time of sharing together of our faith and love for our Lord, encourage one another in Christian life and to promote the fellowship and ministry of the church.  The passage chosen for discussion is I Peter 4.  We pray that the Elders are received into your home and that with God’s grace, the visit will be rewarding.
